The personal doctor of Michael Jackson, Dr. Conrad Murray, could be facing foreclosure. He is lagging behind by $100,000 on mortgage dues. While officials were searching through his papers for manslaughter charges they stumbled upon this fact.

Financial problems have been hounding 56 year old Murray even at the time he became the personal physician of Jackson. Paper filed in Clark County show that Murray is in debt for over $100,000 excluding penalties on a loan that amounted to about $1.7 million. The property in question is a mansion situated in an exclusive zone – Red Rock Country Club. His house covering 489 square metres is near the 18-hole golf course. It has four bedrooms, fireplaces numbering three, a spa and a swimming pool.

Edward Chernoff, the lawyer representing Murray issued a statement in which he admitted that the house of the cardiologist Murray was in the pre-foreclosure state. He blamed the ongoing investigations for hampering the phsician’s work schedule. This has led to his financial troubles. Chernoff said, “His hope is he can forestall foreclosure until he can once again begin working as a doctor.” He alleged that Murray had not been given any payment for the two months he had work for Jackson and AEG (concert promoter).

The London series of show of Jackson that has now been cancelled was being promoted by AEG Live. AEG spokespersons said that the Jackson had insisted on Murray accompanying him to London. Randy Phillips of the firms said AEG had given an advance to Jackson to remunerate the doctor. They had also been holding talks to arrange for a monthly salary of $150,000 for Dr. Murray.

The foreclosure officer dealing with the Murray file, Mary Hunt, on behalf of Stewart Title said Murray had ceased to pay his monthly dues of $15,000 from last January. It is possible that this coming November he will have to be face foreclosure.

The medical practice of Murray is facing over $400,000 as a result of court judgments since the past year. He is also facing two other cases that are pending. In December Murray was slapped with a judgment calculating to about $3,700 for his failure to pay for child support in San Diego. Murray is also facing trouble with his credit card company.

Murray contended that he had given anesthetic propofol to Michael Jackson to help the singer to sleep. The charges are that this is what caused his heart to stop. The case is pending.
